Mission Renewable Awarded Silver ERS

Mission Renewable is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the Defence Employee Recognition Scheme Silver Award this year for its ongoing work in supporting the Armed Forces community.

To gain the award, organisations must provide evidence that they meet the following standards:

  • proactively demonstrate that service personnel/armed forces community are not unfairly disadvantaged as part of their recruiting and selection processes

  • Ensure that its workforce is aware of its positive policies towards defence people issues. For example, an employer nominated for support to the Reserves must have an internally publicised and positive HR policy on Reserves

  • Must demonstrate support to training by providing at least 5 days’ additional unpaid/paid leave for Reservists and support mobilisation of reservists.

  • Advocate the benefits of supporting those within the Armed Forces Community by encouraging others to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and engage in the Employer Recognition Scheme.

Upon receiving the award, CEO & Founder James Cameron said, "Mission Renewable, the Armed Forces Engagement programme for the UK Renewable industry was created to uphold the very values that the Armed Forces Covenant promotes. We are hugely proud to be recognised in this way, but more so of the work of our partner and sponsor companies who share that mission: to support those who serve the country, our veterans, and their families."
