Mission Renewable: Armed Forces Engagement for the Renewable Energy Sector

HELPING COMPANIES TO ACCESS AND RETAIN EX-FORCES TALENT, AND DELIVERING SUSTAINABLE AND RELEVANT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE LEAVERS, VETERANS AND THEIR SPOUSES.

Mission Renewable, a Community Interest Company, is the Armed Forces engagement initiative for the UK Renewable Sector. Formed to harness the opportunity for skills migration from the veteran community into jobs in the renewable energy sector and addresses the transitional needs of service leavers at the same time.

Advocates of the Armed Forces Covenant and the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, Mission Renewable can help you to engage with service leavers, help you in developing your own best practice, from HR including reservist and spousal policy, to training programs, to the best and most appropriate recruitment pathways and much more.

Early work by the initiative includes undertaking a re-write of the Sector Guide for the MOD’s Career Transition Partnership, a key source of information for service leavers of all three services to understand and access the pathways that are available to them. This was completed, and published in August 2022.
